Valerie Johnson

Miss Valerie is the owner and director of the Leesburg Dance Centre. She teaches creative movement, combo kids, and tap. Originally from Tampa, Florida, she started dancing at an early age. She was a member of the Florida Ballet Theatre for three years and the Tampa Jazz Company for one year.
    Since then, she has studied with many accomplished masters of the dance world. She has taught at dance studios in Tampa, St. Petersburg, and Tuscaloosa, Alabama. She has also taught at Kids College and the Mount Dora Center for the Arts.
    Miss Valerie has been a member of Florida Dance Masters and a Florida Dance Masters certified teacher.
    Miss Valerie’s goal as both a teacher and studio owner is to instill a love of dance in all her students. She strives to make all her students feel special and ensures that each student not only develops as a dancer, but also as an individual with deserved self-esteem, personal courage and strength.
